Position Overview: As a Veterinary Technician in the Radiation Oncology department, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing client appointments and ensuring a smooth experience during their visit.
- Collaborating with veterinarians in patient evaluations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Collecting and processing laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fine needle aspirates.
- Utilizing various imaging techniques for patient assessment and procedural guidance.
- Administering sedation and anesthesia, monitoring patients, and ensuring safe recovery.
- Delivering compassionate nursing care and advocating for patients throughout their stay.
- Maintaining equipment to guarantee safety and optimal care practices.
- Educating clients about oncology-related conditions and treatment options.
Work Schedule: To be determined; typically 4 days of 10-hour shifts.
Candidate Profile:
Experience in radiation oncology is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of 1-2 years in a progressive veterinary practice is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
- A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required, along with a commitment to outstanding client service.

Wage Ranges:
Veterinary Assistant: $18 - $23 per hour
Veterinary Technician: $25 - $35 per hour
Veterinary Technician Specialist: $31 - $40 per hour
