As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering prescribed radiation doses to designated areas of the body, utilizing radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver radiation therapy as directed by the physician.
  • Confirm the prescribed treatment dosage prior to each session; validate treatment fields and angles.
  • Ensure the application of protective devices to shield healthy tissue from radiation exposure.
  • Utilize simulators, CT scanners, or other devices to accurately identify treatment locations.
  • Exhibit professional behavior essential for the well-being of radiation oncology patients.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive treatment documentation.
  • Monitor patient progress, employing clinical judgment to identify and report any complications.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols diligently.
  • Conduct equipment safety checks; understand operational limits and report any irregularities to the Center Leader.
  • Collaborate closely with the Radiation Oncologist and therapy team in developing treatment plans.
  • Adhere to the Radiation Therapist Code of Ethics.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related outcomes as necessary.
  • Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Educational Background:
  • ARRT Board eligible.
  • Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARRT Board certified.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of clinical experience in a similar environment.

Strong judgment, reliability, and conscientious performance. Detail-oriented with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate and empathetic with high ethical standards. Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for operating complex equipment.
