Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician III is a highly skilled professional responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of the plant's manufacturing systems and physical property. This role requires expertise in maintenance responsibilities, including preventive maintenance, equipment trouble shooting, tool identification and usage, and small physical property repairs. Additional activities may also include operating equipment to continue to improve processing times and decrease downtimes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of plant equipment and systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement repairs as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and systems to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Operate equipment to improve processing times and decrease downtime.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure effective maintenance and repair of plant equipment and systems.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in an industrial maintenance operation.
  • Maintenance certification from one of the following: Programmable Logic Controller Certification, Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Disciplines, Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator, Certified Maintenance Technician Level III, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of work experience in an industrial maintenance operation.
  • Completion of two of the following certifications: Programmable Logic Controller Certification, Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Disciplines, Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator, Certified Maintenance Technician Level III, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician.
Working Conditions:

Conditions vary from normal office conditions to all areas inside and outside of plant. Exposure to extreme temperature fluctuations, electrical hazards, ammonia and heavy moving equipment. The job requires working nights and weekends with occasional travel. Overtime may be required. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential. Requires an eye for detail and ability to organize. Must be able to work with both hand and heavy electric tools and lift a minimum of 45lbs.
