Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary:

This position is designed to provide comprehensive behavioral health counseling, assessments, and therapeutic services to children. The Mental Health Therapist will work closely with students, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to support the emotional and psychological well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic assessments, individual and/or group psychotherapy, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders under the direct supervision of an independently licensed clinician.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and non-clinical professionals and community agency personnel to address client needs and promote service outcomes.
  • Coordinate and monitor medically necessary services to promote continuity of care and minimize the incidence and prevalence of symptoms of mental illness.
  • Support clients in removing barriers to recovery and promoting successful tenure in the community.
  • Facilitate community integration and provide essential community support services.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in Ohio.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with diversity, including clients from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to programmatic changes, capable of adjusting strategies and approaches to meet evolving needs and goals.
  • Willingness to travel locally as required by program needs.

Working Environment:

This position is expected to work with a multidisciplinary clinical and non-clinical professionals and community agency personnel involved with the client and/or client's family. The goal is to address the client's needs and collaborate regarding the client's service outcomes.
