We are seeking an Addiction Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line. As a member of our team, you will be part of a robust continuum of care that includes integrated psychiatry, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction/co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency, and inpatient care.
Key Position DetailsThe Addiction Psychiatrist will be a key member of our Addiction Psychiatry outpatient clinic team, working closely with specialty nurses, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, psychologists, and psychiatric providers. The team provides eConsults, education, outpatient therapeutic and psychiatric interventions, and coordinates care with Allina primary care providers.
Responsibilities- Consult with providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of patients.
- Engage patients and families to develop treatment plans that address identified goals.
- Develop and lead staff education in psychiatric issues.
- May participate in on-call rotation.
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
- Completion of addiction fellowship or ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) certification.
