Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Utility Construction Project Manager to join our team at PNM Resources. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee large-scale utility construction projects, including design review, cost estimation, and work activity monitoring.
  • Lead teams to identify and resolve issues related to customer inquiries, right-of-way, complaints, and damages.
  • Present projects and participate in capital management processes.
  • Communicate and coordinate job requirements with customers, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in project scheduling and assign job priorities to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to other project leaders and designers.
  • Initiate and administer line extension contracts.
  • Direct the work of others assigned to their project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 7-8 years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of project management experience or equivalent required.
  • Experience in gas or electric utility design or construction preferred.
  • Possess a current, legally valid driver's license and meet the company's driving record requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge in gas or electric theory, design, and construction of systems.
  • Ability to promote first-class public relations with customers, businesses, and community leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret PNM and industry standards for distribution design, construction, metering, and gas transmission.
Working Conditions

Regularly works outdoors and in remote locations in various weather conditions. Handles multiple projects and may deal with competing priorities. Heavy workload. Observes and follows safety rules.
