Job Summary
The Heart & Vascular Institute at Tampa General Hospital and the University of South Florida is seeking a distinguished Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS), and Transplant Cardiologist. This role is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level.
Team Composition
Our dedicated team consists of 11 cardiologists specializing in heart failure and transplantation, 3 heart failure surgeons, and 13 advanced practice providers, ensuring comprehensive 24/7 hospital coverage. We are proud to host an ACGME accredited Advanced Heart Failure fellowship and manage a robust ambulatory practice with specialized clinics, serving over 15,000 patients annually.

Institutional Partnership
Tampa General Hospital and the University of South Florida have established the only academic medical center on the West Coast of Florida. Our heart transplant program is among the oldest and largest in the nation, having performed over 1600 heart transplants and implanted 800 LVADs.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will qualify for the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. While recent graduates are encouraged to apply, a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in transplant and MCS is preferred. Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant, possess a focused area of academic and clinical interest, and demonstrate proficiency in performing endomyocardial biopsies and right heart catheterizations. Leadership experience or potential is highly valued.
This position comprises 90% clinical responsibilities and 10% dedicated to research development.
