Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership for the imaging services department, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and objectives of UNC Health Appalachian. Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including The Joint Commission, FDA, and state health departments. Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care and image quality.
  • Technology and Equipment Management: Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of imaging equipment and technology. Stay up-to-date with advances in medical imaging technology and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
  • Staff Development and Training: Recruit, train, and mentor imaging staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Patient Experience and Satisfaction: Monitor patient feedback and satisfaction metrics related to imaging services and implement improvements as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a medical imaging setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Registration/License/Certification: Current licensure or certification in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
