Occupational Therapist, Oncology Specialist

At City of Hope, our mission is to provide hope and healing to those affected by cancer and diabetes. As an Occupational Therapist in our Oncology department, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and quality of life.
With a strong focus on teamwork and patient-centered care, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Your expertise will be essential in delivering individualized comprehensive care through rehabilitation techniques, innovative technology, and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
Your responsibilities will include providing leadership to the rest of the rehabilitation staff, coordinating, delegating, and guiding patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. You will also consult with physicians as needed, regarding clarification of orders, adjustments to patient treatment plans, patient outcomes, and recommendations for durable medical equipment.
To excel in this role, you must have acute care experience or lymphedema certification (preferably). You should possess basic age-specific skills in evaluation techniques, neurological techniques, orthopedics, and manual therapies, as well as orthotic fabrication and training.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and work location. Additionally, you will receive 7 Holidays off and participate in our company-matched 401(k) and Employee Assistance programs.
