Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Northwest Seafood Processors is a leading food processor in the industry, committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and contribute to our success.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various equipment and systems within our plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement appropriate repairs.
Perform routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from different departments and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and provide technical support when needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to stand constantly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb stairs. The employee must regularly lift and or move between 25-50 lbs. and occasionally lift between 50-75 lbs. Some positions may require heavier lifting.

Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus. Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Familiarity with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and compressors. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
