Respiratory Care Specialist

The Respiratory Care Practitioner plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care at Hunterdon Health. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, conducting clinical evaluations, and establishing therapeutic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and coordinate respiratory care duties, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Accurately document and charge patient care, maintaining accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date with professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to hospital protocols and procedures.
- Act as a patient advocate, providing empathetic and compassionate care.
- Perform pulmonary function testing, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum Education: Graduate from a respiratory therapy program.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of acute care experience.
- License, Registry or Certification: New Jersey License in Respiratory and CPR certification. ACLS certification required; if not ACLS certified upon hire, must obtain within two years.
- Ability to function independently, with strong computer skills.
- Proficiency in using hospital-approved equipment, including bipap/cpap, ventilators, end tidal CO2, high flow oxygen therapy, and other components of respiratory care.
