Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Hunterdon Health. The successful candidate will possess the necessary training and experience to perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical evaluations of care, and establish therapeutic objectives.

• Facilitate and coordinate duties relating to respiratory care, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Accurately document and charge patient care, maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Maintain professional development through ongoing education and training.
• Ensure patient safety through vigilant monitoring and adherence to protocols.
• Act as a patient advocate, providing empathetic and compassionate care.
• Perform pulmonary function testing as required, utilizing hospital-approved equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A graduate degree from a respiratory therapy program.
• A minimum of one year of acute care experience.
• A New Jersey License in Respiratory and CPR certification. ACLS certification is required; if not certified upon hire, must obtain within two years.
• PALS Certification is preferred for full-time and part-time staff.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• The ability to function independently, with strong computer skills.
• The ability to use hospital-approved equipment, including but not limited to bipap/cpap, ventilators, end tidal CO2, high flow oxygen therapy, and all other components of respiratory care.
