About the Role

Micron Technology is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist at Micron, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the oversight of construction projects and general contractors to ensure compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Develop and implement Industrial Hygiene programs that transition from construction guidance to manufacturing program implementation.
  • Review building and system designs for compliance and integration of safety by design best known methods (BKM).
  • Conduct detailed task and process hazard analysis and risk assessments, including HAZOP and HAZDEMO reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve Micron's safety and Industrial Hygiene programs and operating procedures.
  • Evaluate operations to confirm compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and benchmark industry standards.
  • Monitor changes to regulatory requirements and implement changes as required.
  • Develop and conduct safety and Industrial Hygiene training.
  • Plan, develop, and perform site compliance and conformance audits in conjunction with area personnel.
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance inspections.
  • Respond as an Industrial Hygiene/Safety professional to emergencies and rotate through an 'on-call' schedule.
  • Perform investigations of accidents and unplanned events.
  • Collect, evaluate, and communicate safety performance measurements to site management.
  • Support continuous improvement of Micron's Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Industrial Hygiene, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with various subject areas within a complex environment or equivalent.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, and management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing small to medium-sized projects and leading multi-functional teams.
  • Possess good organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work with minimum supervision.
  • CSP or CIH or equivalent experience, preferred.
