The Grocery Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal sales floor performance, overseeing daily task execution, maintaining well-stocked shelves, delivering outstanding customer service, and managing responsibilities assigned by department leadership. This position involves delegating tasks to grocery staff and monitoring their effectiveness. The Supervisor provides insights to management regarding personnel and operational processes, ensuring seamless functioning of the Grocery Department, especially during management's absence.
This is a full-time role requiring a commitment of 30 or more hours per week, with scheduled hours typically from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, including one weekend shift each week.
Key Responsibilities
Task Management:
- Review daily schedules and organize workflows to achieve management-set objectives.
- Delegate tasks based on priority and supervise the successful completion of daily goals.
- Communicate effectively with leadership to ensure efficient department operations.
- Collaborate with management to assess workflow goals that enhance performance.
Leadership in Grocery Department:
- In the absence of management, hold team members accountable by providing immediate guidance and feedback.
- Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, addressing concerns and directing them to the appropriate channels.
- Lead by example, working alongside grocery clerks to meet established objectives.
- Provide management with feedback on training needs and workflow improvements, assisting in training initiatives.

- Facilitate communication between the Leadership Team and staff regarding operational matters.
- Ensure the smooth operation of departmental functions.

- Provide direction during peak times and in the absence of department managers, addressing concerns and requests promptly.
