Grocery Department Lead

Belfast Community Co-op is seeking a highly motivated and organized Grocery Shift Lead to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our grocery department, including managing workflow, delegating tasks, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and organize daily schedules to achieve sales floor outcomes
- Delegate tasks to grocery clerks and monitor efficiency
- Communicate effectively with leadership to ensure a smoothly run department
- Work with management to review workflow goals and maximize outcomes
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively in a high-volume work environment
- Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and powerjack
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks
