Position Overview

The Housekeeping Associate plays a crucial role in upholding the standards of cleanliness and orderliness within IMPOWER Inc. This position is vital in ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and tidiness.

Compensation: This is a part-time, hourly role with a starting pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene across all designated areas, including sleeping quarters, offices, communal spaces, and public facilities.
  • Conduct daily cleaning tasks, which encompass dusting, polishing, sanitizing surfaces, and vacuuming/mopping floors.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
  • Adhere to the established cleaning schedule, adjusting as necessary to meet organizational needs.
  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements to the housekeeping processes.
  • Ensure that all personnel involved in housekeeping duties are adequately trained in techniques, safety protocols, and efficiency standards.
  • Oversee inventory levels of cleaning supplies, ensuring orderly storage and timely replenishment.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks during quieter periods as required.
  • Assist in the preparation and dismantling of setups for meetings, events, inspections, and tours.
  • Comply with all safety protocols to ensure the security of the premises when not in use.
  • Follow guidelines regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and workplace safety hazards.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as needed.
  • Ensure the exterior grounds are free from litter and hazardous items.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Successful completion of background checks through relevant law enforcement agencies.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving record; local travel may be required.
  • Prior experience in a behavioral healthcare or residential environment is preferred.
