**About the Role:** Leidos is seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) team. As a Security Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the cyber security program and strategy at a tactical and operational level.
Responsibilities:
- System & network security monitoring using security information event management tools.
- Regularly perform vulnerability scans, provide reports to IT teams, and track remediation efforts.
- Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents, including implementing forensic investigations.
- Stay current with emerging cyber security threats, identify potential weaknesses, and ensure secure system configurations.
- Participate in root cause analysis for each service-impacting incident, identifying corrective actions for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in cyber security engineering, system administration, or related field.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (or similar tool) for reviewing audit logs and highlighting notable events.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
