We are seeking highly motivated and talented student engineers to join our engineering team in various locations across our service territory. This internship will provide you with a unique opportunity to advance your skills while gaining experience in the utility industry.

Job Description

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including documentation and reporting, project support, field work, and learning and development. You will be responsible for recording and analyzing test data and statistical data, assisting in updating and maintaining engineering records and files, and preparing and documenting cost estimates. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and assist in the planning, designing, and execution of projects.

You will have the opportunity to participate in field visits to operational facilities, where you will gain knowledge and understanding of power system operations and assist in performing inspections and tests. You will also actively participate in training sessions and knowledge-building projects, taking on new challenges and utilizing and expanding your engineering skills.

We are looking for engineering students within the following disciplines: Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical. Some positions may be open to other engineering disciplines. You must have completed your freshman year in a four-year engineering program recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a genuine interest in the electric utility sector, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices, and effective time management skills.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a minimum of $22.00 per hour and a mid-point of $27.00 per hour. The internship will last for a minimum of 10 weeks.
