Firearms Instructor/Senior Range Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firearms Instructor/Senior Range Safety Officer to join our team at Olgoonik Corporation. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting firearms training courses, as well as serving as a range safety officer and subject matter expert on firearms.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain the Diplomatic Security (DS) range facility, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA standards and regulations.
- Plan, organize, and instruct firearms training courses, including basic and advanced firearms and use of deadly force.
- Conduct scenario-based training and provide feedback to trainees.
- Apply U.S. Constitutional law, relevant case law, and DS policies to firearms training and use of force scenarios.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure that training objectives are met.
- Comply with all Federal Law Enforcement Training and Accreditation (FLETA) standards and DS policies, procedures, and standards.
- High school diploma required; completion of a recognized instructor development training course preferred.
- 1-3 years of firearms instructor experience required, with evidence of increasing work responsibility in a firearms training environment.
- Must be a certified firearms training instructor and possess excellent people and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient in firing, handling, and giving instruction on a variety of firearms.
- Possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to complete work requiring regular and recurring physical exertion, including periods of standing, occasional heavy lifting, and irregular hours in both training and protective service operations.
Periodic local travel and occasionally, travel to other areas within and outside the United States may be required.
