Responsibilities
  1. Ensure Timely and Accurate Completion of MDS 3.0: Organize the completion of the MDS by all disciplines, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  2. Review Nursing Documentation: Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of nursing documentation and report any discrepancies to the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing.
  3. Participate in Quality Improvement Activities: Engage in regular audits, chart reviews, and other quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care.
  4. Collaborate on Trigger and RAPS Application: Work with Nurse Managers to complete triggers and apply RUGs for care planning.
  5. Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI): Regularly review CMI scores to detect potential risks and changes affecting Medicaid reimbursement.
  6. Determine Potential RUGs: Assess the potential RUGs and associated expenses for prospective admissions.
  7. Evaluate MDS Process Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of the MDS process for all residents.
  8. Contribute to Admission Process: Participate in the admission process by assessing nursing needs and recommending suitable placements.
  9. Maintain Medicare Criteria Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on Medicare criteria and serve as a resource for nursing staff, communicating changes in regulations.
  10. Flexible Scheduling: Enjoy flexible scheduling options, including 4-10 hour days or 5-8 hour days with one day remote work.
