Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant

MBI Acquisition Corp is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients in an occupational medicine setting. Our clinics specialize in acute injury care, and we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care with minimal administrative responsibilities.
Summary: As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physician to provide healthcare services to patients, adhering to established clinical practice principles. You will act as a medical consultant/advisor regarding the medical status of clients presenting for physical examinations for staff.
Responsibilities:
- Review past medical history, family history, social history, and review of symptoms, perform physical examinations, and determine capacity to safely perform specified job functions.
- Review and interpret radiographs to determine the presence of a pre-existing condition prior to beginning work.
- Evaluate and manage common occupational musculoskeletal injuries, work-related injuries, and other conditions.
Evaluation and management to include:
- Review of the chief complaint, mechanism or description of injury, associated symptoms, effect on activities of daily living, past medical, social, family history, and appropriate physical examination.
- Appropriately diagnosing the problem.
- Recommendation of appropriate over-the-counter medications, application of heat or cold, referral for home exercise training.
- Prescription of appropriate medications and therapy.
- Ordering and interpretation of appropriate radiographs.
- Recommendation and application of ace bandages, braces, splints, and casts as appropriate.
- Treatment of non-displaced uncomplicated fractures.
- Referral for specialized testing as necessary and appropriate.
- Referral for specialty care as appropriate.
- Identification of appropriate limitations to activity at home and work.
- Rendering an opinion regarding causality and work relatedness.
Requirements:
- Master's degree and valid, unrestricted state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- FMCSA certification for DOT exams, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Current CPR certification.
- NRCME certification.
- Ability to exercise high levels of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to meet organizational goals in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clear and effective verbal and written communication.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation; ability to build relationships with staff, patients, and clients.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
