Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement law enforcement training methodologies and instructional strategies to ensure the curriculum aligns with educational objectives.
- Create professional development plans (e.g., training requests, utilization proposals) aimed at enhancing the careers of law enforcement personnel.
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement educators to devise innovative instructional techniques and approaches.
- Conduct classroom training for law enforcement staff utilizing various instructional methods, including role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, multimedia presentations, and lectures.

Qualifications
Your resume must clearly demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector, including:
1) Preparation of instructional materials in law enforcement;
2) Provision of current information and resources to students;
3) Delivery of lectures, discussions, conferences, and demonstrations on law enforcement practices, investigative techniques, and practical applications;
4) Assessment of training needs for law enforcement students, ensuring timely scheduling and completion of training.

Note:
This information must be thoroughly supported in your resume. Successful completion of a recognized Police Training Academy or equivalent course is required. Additionally, completion of any annual sustainment training, Level 1 Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) contamination training (if applicable), and OC refresher training is mandatory.

Additional Information
This position is governed by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. It utilizes the Direct Hire Authority for Police Officer Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to specific roles within the competitive service. The position may require working uncommon hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to fulfill mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay may be applicable. Rotating shift work may also be necessary.

Incentives such as Recruitment, Relocation, or Student Loan Repayment may be available to eligible candidates. A relocation incentive may be authorized to help offset some relocation expenses incurred by the selected candidate.

Several positions may be filled. Duties may include visiting training facilities, classrooms, conferences, and firearms ranges. Employees are required to wear an assigned uniform and adhere to grooming standards.

This role necessitates physical exertion, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, driving, bending, stooping, reaching, sitting, crawling, and similar activities, as well as lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may involve exposure to moderate discomforts and unpleasant conditions, with protective measures in place.

Federal Annuitant Information
The selection of an annuitant is subject to the Department of Defense and Department of the Navy policies regarding the employment of annuitants.
