Responsibilities
You will be tasked with responding to and investigating reports while interpreting and enforcing relevant state and federal laws, military justice codes, and organizational regulations.
You will handle alarms, emergency calls, and other service requests during your shift.
Your duties will include operating advanced police communication equipment, such as mobile data terminals, to receive dispatches, respond to calls, and complete official documentation.
You will enforce traffic laws utilizing specialized tools like radar and breathalyzers. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive reports, forms, and citations related to all incidents and actions taken.
You will verify that individuals seeking access to the facility possess the necessary identification.
Your role will involve conducting investigative stops, questioning individuals, detaining suspects, and taking appropriate measures to resolve incidents as needed.

Conditions of Employment
To qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate relevant experience and/or education, as well as the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties associated with this role.
Your resume is essential for evaluating your qualifications, so please be clear and specific when detailing your experience.
For the GS-07 Level:
Your resume must show at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:
1) Investigating unusual situations related to legal violations;
2) Conducting checkpoints or roadblocks to deter criminal activity;
3) Inspecting packages and personal belongings for individuals entering controlled areas;
4) Responding to emergency service calls while complying with applicable laws.
For the GS-06 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must include:
1) Issuing citations for legal violations;
2) Preparing reports and orders for distribution to other law enforcement personnel;
3) Safeguarding property, equipment, data, or materials.
Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a prerequisite for continued employment. Candidates will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to attending the academy.
Additional Information
This position is part of the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. A typical work week consists of 40 hours. The role may require working uncommon hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to fulfill mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay may be applicable.
Successful completion of a DoD approved Police Training Academy or equivalent training is mandatory. Annual sustainment training and specific refresher training may also be required.
This position involves rotating shifts. Certain incentives, such as recruitment or relocation bonuses, may be available to eligible candidates.
Physical Demands
The role necessitates regular physical exertion, including activities such as running, walking, standing, climbing, bending, driving, and lifting/carrying heavy items exceeding 50 pounds.
Officers may be required to work in extreme weather conditions while wearing protective gear, thus maintaining physical fitness is essential.
Work Environment
The work environment may expose officers to discomforts such as severe weather variations while directing traffic and conducting patrols. Officers may also encounter high noise levels in certain industrial settings and may operate vehicles on rough terrain.
Federal Annuitant Information
The selection of annuitants is subject to specific Department of Defense policies. Veteran's preference does not apply under this hiring authority, but if claimed, supporting documentation will be required.
