About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, financial statements, and journal entries.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, financial statements, and journal entries.
  • Grant Management: Manage the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Financial Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with these policies.
  • Financial Guidance: Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization.
  • External Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Abila MIP or equivalent financial management software, strong understanding of financial statements, journal entries, accrued revenue, expenditures, grants, depreciation, and expense allocation.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive financial planning.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
