Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated 4th Grade Educator to join our team at the Diocese of Allentown. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for providing academic instruction, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they meet academic standards and achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a well-organized and respectful classroom environment, promoting a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and mutual respect among students, teachers, and staff.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Regularly communicate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure seamless coordination and support for our students' academic and personal growth.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress, identify areas of improvement, and inform instructional decisions.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in education, participate in ongoing professional development, and contribute to the growth and improvement of our educational community.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Pennsylvania teaching certification.
  • Clearances: Clear records of Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Fingerprint Check.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, contracted position with a standard school day schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues, attend staff meetings, and participate in professional development opportunities.
