About the Role:

Supermicro is seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to join our team. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for developing world-class firmware to maximize the strong hardware architecture of our in-house servers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products and collaborate with hardware and test teams to provide the best customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement baseboard management controller (BMC) features to support Supermicro products
Prepare design documents and test plans
Collaborate with hardware and test teams to ensure seamless integration and testing
Develop BMC based on IPMI and DMTF standards, including Redfish, MCTP, PLDM, and SPDM
Enhance BMC security with standards defined by NIST, TCG, and OCP

Requirements:

Minimum BS in EE/CS/CE, Master's degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in firmware development
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, and Python
Familiarity with software development under Linux, including GCC and Makefile
Preferred experience with OpenBMC
Preferred familiarity with IPMI and DMTF standards
