About the Job:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role:

The Patient Care Assistant will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide routine assistive tasks that promote patient comfort, safety, and well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as helping them to move around safely.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist patients with personal hygiene needs, including bathing, washing hair, brushing teeth, and washing hands.
  2. Support patients with nutrition and feeding needs, including assisting with meal preparation and setup.
  3. Help patients with ambulation needs, including walking assistance and fall prevention measures.
  4. Meet patients' elimination needs, including assisting with bathroom use and monitoring inputs and outputs.
  5. Accurately complete and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, heart rate, and oxygenation levels.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) course required.
  • Previous CNA or CMA experience preferred.
