Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Vendors and Subcontractors: Oversee the work of vendors and subcontractors supporting data center operations.
  • Manage Data Center Stocks: Control inventory of data center supplies and equipment.
  • Design and Implement Server Technologies: Develop and implement server technologies in multiple configurations.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve operational issues affecting data center performance.
  • Ensure Safety: Verify the safety of personnel and equipment on-site.
  • Provide 24/7 Support: Respond to emergency incidents affecting mission-critical services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or business administration.
  • 10+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in data center operations, management, or a related field.
  • Experience in Agile Environments: Proven experience working in Agile environments and managing hardware configuration baselines.
  • Data Center Strategy and Planning: Experience with data center strategy, planning, and roadmap maintenance.
  • Data Center Consolidation and Cloud Transition: Experience with data center consolidation and cloud environment transition.
  • Project Management: Experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Teamwork and Communication: A track record of working effectively within a team and supporting peers toward improved processes and results.
  • Power Infrastructure Knowledge: Knowledge of power infrastructure layout, redundancy levels, and techniques.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Experience monitoring environmental sensors and determining issues prior to impact to systems.
  • Certified Data Center Professional: Certification as a Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP).
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired Skills
  • Windows Environment Experience: Experience operating and maintaining systems in a Windows environment.
  • SAN or Network Storage Experience: Experience with SAN or network storage setup and administration.
  • Agile Environment Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Hyper Converged Infrastructure Experience: Familiarity with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts and solutions.
  • Troubleshooting Experience: Experience with troubleshooting within a security environment.
  • Backup and Restore Experience: Experience with backup and restore procedures.
  • Certified Data Center Specialist: Certification as a Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS).
  • Certified Data Center Expert: Certification as a Certified Data Center Expert (CDCE).
