Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at Aegis Worldwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among employees.

Estimated salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. EHS Program Development and Implementation:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs tailored to our industrial setting.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and JSAs to identify potential hazards and implement controls.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, permits, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections, audits, and reporting.
Employee Training and Engagement:
  • Deliver comprehensive safety training and education programs to all employees and contractors.
  • Develop engaging training materials and conduct new-hire safety orientations.
Incident Investigation and Analysis:
  • Lead thorough investigations of workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries.
  • Develop and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Environmental Sustainability:
  • Oversee waste management, spill response, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  • Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with air, water, and waste regulations.
Safety Culture Enhancement:
  • Serve as a safety champion, promoting a culture of safety awareness and engagement among employees.
  • Facilitate safety committee meetings and coordinate safety initiatives.
Performance Metrics and Improvement:
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics, reporting findings to management.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements based on data analysis.
Equipment and PPE Management:
  • Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of tools, machinery, and facilities to identify potential hazards.
