Clinical Endocrinology Specialist

Job DescriptionThe Clinical Pharmacist Endocrinology will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients served by Duke Endocrinology. This includes:
- Participating in clinic and care management activities to provide clinical pharmacy services and oversight for safe use of medication.
- Providing medication counseling and education to patients and their families.
- Prescribing and adjusting medications as permitted through collaborative practice agreement.
- Screens for drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, omissions, etc.
- Monitors patients for therapeutic and/or adverse response to medication.
- Coordinates patient care and ensures appropriate follow-up, including laboratory monitoring, with other outpatient or inpatient teams.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
