We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at the MGH Revere Wellness Center. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide safe and effective massage therapy to adult and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Review patient medical records prior to treatment sessions, including Wellness Enrollment Forms.
- Ensure patients have completed Medical Clearance forms from MDs or NPs, indicating no contraindications to receiving massage or acupuncture.
- Complete therapeutic massage or acupuncture Treatment Consents with patients, educating them on treatment procedures and techniques.
- Collaborate with health center staff to provide high-quality care.
- Communicate patient concerns, comments, or symptoms to Wellness Center Directors and/or patient healthcare providers.
- Massage license to practice at the hospital in MA.
- Completed training in an accredited massage school.
- Member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
- National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) preferred.
- Ability to make appropriate judgments to provide safe complementary therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Knowledge and practice of universal precautions, including hand hygiene and sharps disposal.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate competencies specific to their complementary therapy role.
