Daily Responsibilities

As a Commercial Construction Shop & Quality Control Foreman, your day will commence with planning and coordination. You will review schedules, check for updates, and ensure that all safety gear and equipment are prepared.

Your role involves managing team activities, conducting meetings to outline objectives, prioritizing tasks, and delegating responsibilities. You will review blueprints and project plans to assess material requirements and estimate costs, ensuring alignment with superintendents on quality standards and timelines.

On-site supervision and quality assurance are critical aspects of your responsibilities. You will visit job sites to monitor project quality, step in as a backup for superintendents, and perform inspections to guarantee compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. Identifying issues and implementing solutions for new constructions and repairs will be part of your daily tasks, along with managing material and tool requisitions and maintaining accurate inventory records.

You will direct and prioritize tasks to minimize production delays, leading skilled tradespeople in completing punch list items to high workmanship standards. For warranty-related issues, you will analyze problems, develop action plans, and oversee repairs to ensure client satisfaction. Additionally, you will manage the maintenance and organization of the warehouse/shop, oversee inventory, and ensure that company vehicles are well-maintained.

Compiling reports on daily activities and project progress, you will communicate with the General Superintendent and prepare for the next day's schedule. Ensuring that the shop and office areas are clean and organized will be part of your routine.


Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in a large-scale commercial construction environment is preferred.
  • Experience in carpentry, metal studs, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and general trades.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to manage material, tool, and equipment inventory.
  • Proficiency in maintaining company vehicles and shop facilities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Ability to travel and manage multiple projects as needed.
  • Experience with EOS Worldwide principles is preferred.

Work Schedule

This full-time position typically requires 8.5 hours of work per day from Monday to Thursday, with a half-day every other Friday. Occasional night and weekend work may be necessary.
