Job Summary

Varian is seeking a skilled Dosimetrist to join our team in Fairfield, CA. As a Dosimetrist, you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of radiation oncology treatment plans. Your expertise in radiation physics, anatomy, and physiology will enable you to design and implement treatment plans that ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design treatment plans using computer and manual computation to deliver prescribed radiation doses and spare critical structures.
  • Identify and contour normal and dose-limiting structures using images from various data sets.
  • Create and transfer reference images and localization markers for portal verification and treatment delivery.
  • Supervise, perform, or assist in simulations and tumor localization using specified imaging devices.
  • Communicate with radiation therapists and assume an advisory role in the implementation of treatment plans.

Requirements
  • Eclipse/Aria and True Beam experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4-5+ years of related experience.
  • Board Certified by the MDCB.
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.
