Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team at Stanford's Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following food safety guidelines.
  • Assist in food prep as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and portion control.
  • Maintain station organization and equipment in good working order.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage cooking times to deliver dishes on time.
  • Assist with inventory control and track stock levels.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of food products.
  • Follow health and safety standards.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Knowledge of food recipes and ability to prepare them consistently.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely.
  • Proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid State Health Card and any other government-required cards.
  • A desire to learn and grow in this career.
