Job Title: Registered Nurse Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Oncology to join our team at Medical City Arlington. As a Registered Nurse Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our oncology department.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Oncology will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with various types of cancer. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about patients' medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of oncology experience.
  • Chemo certification required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Texas License.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
