About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities. As an Oncology Nurse II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address these needs and promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timing. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing their questions and concerns about treatment options, side effects, and self-care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, share information, and resolve issues. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety. Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • License and Certification: RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
