The successful candidate will provide critical decision and analytic support to the Counter WMD Technologies department within the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) for analysis, assessment, and recommendation to decision-makers regarding development, configuration, and deployment of tools and systems that model tactics and weapon phenomenologies to counter WMD and counter threat networks.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or a related field, and 2+ years of experience in an engineering or scientific function with a focus on advanced software methods for interfacing, containerization, and cloud deployment. Proficiency in agile software development processes, computer programming experience, and familiarity with a variety of programming languages are also required.
The Software Development Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the software development of Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment (IMEA), performing market research for relevant advances, methods, and materials, and recommending architectural and deployment configurations in cooperation with other DOD organizations. The candidate will also manage government verification, validation, and accreditation for IMEA when configured for deployment, and advise software development contractors regarding IMEA development.
This is a regular full-time position with a mid-level salary range. The candidate must have an active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance. A master's degree in data science, computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, engineering, or physics software application development, or a related technical curriculum, is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical decision and analytic support to the Counter WMD Technologies department within the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)
- Oversee the software development of Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment (IMEA)
- Perform market research for relevant advances, methods, and materials
- Recommend architectural and deployment configurations in cooperation with other DOD organizations

- Advise software development contractors regarding IMEA development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or a related field
