Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team at HealthAlliance Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough and ongoing holistic nursing assessments to identify current and potential problems, and develop individualized plans of care that address patient needs and concerns.
  • Patient Care/Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between care settings.
  • Teaching: Empower patients and families with knowledge and skills to manage their health and make informed decisions about their care.
  • Communication: Foster open and respectful communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Treatment/Procedures: Perform all treatments and procedures in accordance with established evidence-based policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately and efficiently document patient information to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Medication Administration: Provide safe and effective medication administration, including assessment, administration, monitoring, and evaluation of patient response.
  • Quality Performance and Improvement (QPI): Participate in QPI initiatives to achieve excellent patient outcomes and improve processes.
  • Delegation to and Development of Co-workers: Accurately delegate patient care tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and other ancillary personnel, and supervise the provision of care to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed in the State of New York, or permittee.
  • Basic knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
  • Knowledge of appropriate technology and practice standards for the area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates sound clinical skills, knowledge of Hospital structure, objectives, and standards of practice, positive communication skills.
