Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing goods, materials, and services essential for the plant's operations, ensuring that price, quality, and delivery standards are met to maintain a seamless supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement process for the local plant, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers to uphold high standards of quality and service.
- Analyze market trends and implement best practices to enhance purchasing processes and minimize costs.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to anticipate demand and ensure timely acquisition of materials.
- Conduct regular evaluations of suppliers to assess their performance and compliance with company standards.
- Address any supply chain issues, discrepancies, or concerns that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, quality standards, and legal regulations related to procurement.
- Work with other departments to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain precise records of purchases, pricing, and other critical data.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
- Understanding of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Demonstrated experience as a buyer, ideally within a manufacturing or plant setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
