Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Directly supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the effective execution of maintenance tasks and projects.
- Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate and execute maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades, to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Management
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and tested to prevent failures and ensure safe operation.
- Inventory Management
- Manage and control inventory levels of spare parts, materials, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with plant operations, production, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize equipment performance.
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, maintenance management) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial plant maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity, supervising maintenance personnel.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in computer-aided maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other software applications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
This position requires frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noises. The employee may be required to work in a humid and wet environment and may be exposed to cold conditions in the coolers. The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
