Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the fleet, including repairs, diagnostics, fleet supply, inventory management, and time and attendance of maintenance staff. This role requires effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of the fleet. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Fleet Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inventory, and time and attendance.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize fleet performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to identify and resolve technical issues and improve maintenance processes.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering and receiving parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide coaching and guidance to maintenance staff to improve their skills and performance.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure timely and accurate information sharing with stakeholders.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school certification or relevant experience in maintenance operations.
- ASE certifications or equivalent experience in maintenance and repair.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance operations, with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and computer-based maintenance tracking systems.
- Valid Class C driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Diagnostic computer skills.

- Seeing, hearing, and smelling continuously.
- Problem-solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, organization, concentration, Eye/hand coordination, working with interruptions, and interpersonal abilities continuously.
- Sitting, standing, and walking frequently.
- Handling (holding), balancing, bending, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and reaching occasionally.
- Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, noise, grease, oil, hot/cold temperatures, and vibration continuously.
- Exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, standing on concrete, and uneven or slippery surfaces frequently.
- Works inside and outside.
