Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and document new APEX applications and enhance existing ones.
  • Perform system analysis and development tasks, analyzing business requirements to create technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, and end-users to evaluate requirements and deliver features.
  • Ensure security and architecture requirements are met by working with other business units.
  • Adhere to data architecture guidelines and best practices like SDLC and Agile.
  • Identify opportunities for application improvements, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
  • Communicate and implement best practices with other application owners and leaders.
  • Reverse engineer existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.
Requirements
  • BA/BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience in IT.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Oracle APEX, including recent releases like 23.x.
  • In-depth knowledge of logical/physical database design and strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Good understanding of database inter-connectivity and data transfer methods like REST.
  • Intermediate or better experience in modern web technologies like HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
  • Awareness of libraries like Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) is desirable.
  • Maintain and enforce APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript development and coding standards.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.
  • Experience designing, adapting, and implementing technical solutions aligned with business strategy.
  • Ability to work independently, engage with customers, and provide information to the broader team.
  • Excellent written skills to transform designs into detailed user and technical documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of application development project lifecycle and associated methodologies.
  • Able to design, develop, test, and deploy web applications with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external teams.
  • Proven track record of creating intuitive, logical, visually appealing web user interfaces.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask on multiple projects or competing requests.
  • Comfortable working with and supporting end-users' questions or requests.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, potentially including weekends.
