Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems
  • Collect field data to inform design decisions
  • Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis and voltage drop calculations
  • Provide engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure project requirements are met

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial)
  • 2+ years of experience in electric distribution design engineering
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to utilize a personal vehicle for customer-related travel
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with electric utilities or consulting companies
  • Proficiency in distribution design tools, such as BOUD, Pole Foreman, Spida-Calc, or O-Calc
  • Knowledge of NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
