Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe and effective evidence-based nutritional therapy in accordance with the standards set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage individual nutrition care plans.

  • Evaluate individual nutritional needs through comprehensive assessments, including interviews, dietary histories, and medical records.
  • Formulate tailored nutrition plans that encompass dietary recommendations and supplementation strategies.
  • Work with the healthcare team to establish patient care goals.
  • Design and oversee special dietary programs.
  • Document assessments and care plans in the medical records, adhering to established protocols.
  • Assess the nutritional status of patients and provide recommendations for optimal care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition and therapeutic diets, considering their unique backgrounds.
  • Conduct group nutrition classes as needed.
  • Engage in or lead research initiatives related to food and nutrition outcomes.
  • Advocate for individuals and communities regarding nutrition and health resources.
  • Contribute to the training and development of dietetic interns and students.
  • Participate in human resource functions such as training and mentoring.
  • Assist in creating referral processes to enhance access to Registered Dietitians.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Compile statistics and maintain productivity records.
  • Utilize electronic tools for practice management and education.
  • Develop and review educational materials for patients and residents.
Work is typically conducted in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include adhering to all organizational policies and fulfilling job-specific obligations.

Additional competencies and skills outlined in department-specific training will be essential for success in this role.


Position Details

This role will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy at designated locations.

Hours:
Full-Time; Typically 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

None

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field required.

Licensure:
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Registered Dietitian license.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
