Valor Healthcare operates over 50 VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in the United States as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Our comprehensive set of services includes primary care, diagnostics, laboratory, telehealth, behavioral health, and more.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries.
  • Collaborate with the core PACT Team and expanded PACT Team to develop patient care plans.
  • Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, laboratory tests, etc. and interpret test results.
  • Counsel patients on the use of prescription medications and educate patients on health maintenance.
  • Evaluate patients' records from medical providers outside the VA and work with these patients utilizing rules set forth by the VA for co-managed care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and graduate of an accredited program for nurse practitioner (MSN required).
  • Certification by applicable professional organization.
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience as a CRNP within the last 4 years in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting.
  • Must be credentialed and remain in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
