Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- System Installation: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems, including fixtures and equipment.
- Field Fabrication: Perform field fabrication of plumbing and piping systems, and set up project schedules.
- Material Management: Manage materials to ensure timely completion of work, and optimize material consumption.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Quality Control: Inspect work-in-progress and completed work to ensure conformance to contract and specification.
- Team Leadership: Lead and delegate tasks to lower-level personnel, and provide coaching and mentorship to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including general contractors, owners, and customers.
- Problem-Solving: Assist project managers and superintendents with problems or questions, and provide accurate and timely solutions.
- Meeting Attendance: Attend jobsite and office meetings related to assigned projects.
- Experience: 5 years of commercial experience in field plumbing or heating operations.
- Qualifications: Prior shop experience, stable work history, and a valid driver's license.
- Skills: Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of plumbing and piping installation, ability to fabricate offsets, and working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Education: High school or GED equivalent, journeyman license, and trade school a plus.
- Eyesight: Correctable to 20/50.
- Physical Demands: Able to work long hours on feet, lift and climb ladders and scaffolds, and perform shift work.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
- OSHA Certification: OSHA 10 certificate.
