Job Summary

The MRI Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnostic imaging process, working independently to perform complex procedures and utilize state-of-the-art equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams and procedures, utilizing computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures, utilizing MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by regulatory entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • ARRT, RT (R), or other qualified registries per scope of practice.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Three (3) years' experience in a clinical imaging setting is highly preferred.
  • Registered by the (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
