Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Family Medical Centers of AZ. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will provide specialized nursing services with guidance from the attending physician.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Family Medical Centers of AZ.
  2. Obtain and record clients' health history, perform comprehensive physical assessments, and diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate healthcare for clients.
  3. Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with our policies.
  4. Participate in patient review conferences and staffing, and assist the physician as needed.
  5. Orders medications and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
  6. Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, enabling clients to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
  7. Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, a Master's degree in nursing, and completion of a state-acceptable Nurse Practitioner's program. You must also hold an Advanced Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the state, be CPR certified, and have DEA registration with the state.
