Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our Public Works team in Laredo, TX. As a Laborer, you will assist skilled laborers and crew members with various tasks, including street maintenance, electrical and plumbing work, and other maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine manual labor involved in the maintenance of city creeks, street paving, and street maintenance activities, and electrical and plumbing work.
  • Assist with traffic control and direction.
  • Clean roads by picking up debris and tree limbs, etc.; maintain storm sewers and sidewalks; assist in repairing and cleaning storm drains.
  • Perform ground maintenance by using weed eater, yard tools, and gas mower; clean and maintain creeks and roads passageways; maintain storm sewers and sidewalks.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of HVAC units.
  • Clean and maintain proper functionality of tools and equipment.
  • Perform related work as required.
Requirements
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid Texas Driver License.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and perform physical labor.
