Key Responsibilities
  • Assist bilingual Spanish/English callers in navigating their accounts.
  • Generate cost estimates using the Epic Patient Estimator and verify eligibility through RTE.
  • Engage with patients to clarify their benefits and outline payment expectations.
  • Provide financial estimates to patient inquiries and clinical departments.
  • Educate clinical staff on the effective use of estimates and the importance of accurate feedback.
  • Support patients in understanding financial assistance options and setting up payment plans.
  • Address billing questions and manage patient communications.
  • Oversee delinquent payment arrangements and monitor high-risk accounts.
  • Collaborate with legal representatives and external partners as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No specific licensure or certification is necessary.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in hospital or physician insurance-related roles.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
  • Familiarity with UB-04, HCFA-1500 forms, CPT, ICD-9 coding, and insurance billing practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong customer service orientation and proficient computer skills.
